Gramercy Green
New York University has closed on its purchase of the Gramercy Green condo building from developer J.D. Carlisle for $275 million. NYU is turning the 21-story building at 23rd Street and Third Avenue into a dorm. The building had been marketed to Irish buyers before NYU decided to buy it in February. The sale of the tower at 310 Third Avenue, which includes two commercial condo units, appeared in city records today. It houses about 900 undergraduates and was easily the most popular dorm when students selected housing this spring. TRD

Despite the beautiful colors of vomit covered sidewalks, I'm going to avoid third avenue altogether now.

NYU preppies smell. How come they don't have showers in these dorms? Seriously? Is it expensinve for a shower? They should just do like Fred did and have an elephant in the shower so they can spray them out of their noses. That's easiest!
