H&H Bagels on the Upper West Side has reopened for business after being temporarily shut down for tax evasion. Lenny's has a new location now open in Rockefeller Center Concourse. The Palace Hotel, at 455 Madison Avenue at 51st Street, has opened a 75-seat outdoor lounge. Chipotle will open up in the former Food Bar spot on 8th Avenue in Chelsea. Thai spot Kati is slated to open in the former Mambo Italiano Pizza space on 14th Street. Italian trattoria Mr. C's is now open on 7th Street and Avenue C. Shaun Hergatt is returning to the hotel restaurant industry with a new French-style restaurant at the Setai at 40 Broad Street near Exchange Place. In Brooklyn, the owners of the bar Great Harry on Smith Street will open another beer-garden style bar near the corner of 4th Avenue and Carroll Street. Joaquin Baca of Momofuku fame has opened the Brooklyn Star at 33 Havemeyer Street between North 7th and North 8th streets in Williamsburg. Seafood restaurant Sel de Mer has opened in the former Najeeb's space at 374 Grand Avenue in Williamsburg. A coffee shop called Cup will open on Norman Avenue between Manhattan Avenue and Lorimer Street in Greenpoint. Saraghina pizzeria is slated to open at 435 Halsey near Lewis Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Park Delicatessen, at 533 Park Place in Crown Heights, is now a general store selling skateboards, t-shirts and old gardening equipment. TRD

I recently ate at Mary Ann's at the Cosmopolitan and the food was AWFUL. The chips and salsa were pretty good but we couldn't finish the food. We have not been back. I say to the Cosmopolitan Hotel....."Expand Away!"
