Openings and closings: The Dressing Room at Topshop opens, Harbour closes ... and more

Elevation Burger has signed at lease at 103 West 14th Street in Union Square, with plans to open by May 2010. Furniture company Michael Hennessy Home signed a 10-year lease at 207 West 18th Street, between Seventh and Eighth avenues.
Pet Central has leased a space at 705 Second Avenue, at the corner of 38th Street, for its sixth Manhattan store, according to a press release. Five Guys Burgers and Fries has signed a lease for its fifth Manhattan location, at 36 West 48th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues, according to a release. Chocolat Michel Cluzel, a high-end chocolatier, has opened its first U.S. store at 584 Fifth Avenue, between 47th and 48th streets. CH Caroline Herrera is opening a store at 802 Madison Avenue. Oaxaca Mexican Grill is opening in January on 47th Street between Park and Lexington avenues. The Wright, a new restaurant, has opened at the Guggenheim.
On the Upper West Side, HomBom toys opened on Columbus Avenue between 79th and 80th streets and Cold Stone Creamery has paired with Tim Hortons on 72nd Street between Broadway and Columbus Avenue, while Tim Hortons on Broadway between 95th and 96th streets has shuttered. Diner chain Big Daddy's is planning to open on Broadway and 91st Street in early 2010, and Sheep Meadow is getting an 80-seat Le Pain Quotidien café. Tom Colicchio's 'wichcraft opened a café last week in the new David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center. Island Salad, a Caribbean-style salad bar and juice café, has opened at 22 East 125th Street between Madison and Fifth avenues. Checkers, Harlem's latest burger joint near West 125th Street and Broadway, saw its awning and building signage go up recently, which may mean an opening by the end of the year. Applebees opened today on 125th Street at Fifth Avenue.
Restaurateur Stephen Starr, of Buddakan and Morimoto fame, is planning a new Vietnamese restaurant at an undisclosed New York hotel.
In Brooklyn, In Your Closet NYC opened a pop-up thrift store last weekend at 103 Havemeyer Street in Williamsburg, while Wine Cellar has opened at 132 Havemeyer Street between South 1st and 2nd streets. In Greenpoint, at 195 Nassau Avenue, a new wine bar called Cafe Royalle is set to open in February. Red Bamboo, the Fort Green Caribbean-Asian-Soul fusion restaurant at 271 Adelphi Street, will close at the end of the year and reopen later as "neo-American" restaurant Poppa's Place. En, a new Nigerian restaurant at 11 Lafayette Street also in Fort Greene, has opened. The Yogasana yoga studio on Fifth Avenue and Warren Street has relocated to Third Avenue and Wycoff. A hair salon has set up shop in its old space in Park Slope. In the Sunset Park neighborhood, karaoke bar 100 fun KTV, on 60th Street between 10th Avenue and Fort Hamilton, opened a pool hall in the space next door.
In Long Island City, El Ay Si, a global restaurant at 47-38 Vernon Boulevard near 48th Avenue, will open next week.
Amid these openings, there have been some closings. Harbour, the sustainable seafood restaurant at 290 Hudson Street, is closing after only nine months, and Diamond Diary, a kosher luncheonette on West 47th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues, has also shuttered. Upscale Gramercy Park restaurant Olana, at 72 Madison Avenue, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
