Philly sports owner buys in 15 CPW

Philadelphia sports and cable mogul Edward Snider bought an upper-level condo at 15 Central Park West for $7.34 million, according to property records posted today.

Snider went into contract on the 2,300-square-foot unit in December 2005, and closed on April 28 of this year. The 36th-floor, two-bedroom, two-plus bath apartment has views to the east and west.

Snider, 75, is chairman of Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment company Comcast-Spectacor, whcih owns the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Wachovia Center, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and other properties. Its majority owner is cable giant Comcast Corp.
