streets are reminders of the walloping delivered by the economy.
The Real Deal
examined the state of retail in five of Manhattan's most
heavily-trafficked shopping areas to see how they are weathering the
economic downturn.

Goes to show you, neighborhoods cannot be built based solely on the purchasing power of the top 1-3%. Time to return to the Mom and Pop shops, and time to return neighborhoods to the people!
