Hip-hop entrepreneur and philanthropist Russell Simmons has moved back to his apartment on Liberty Street in Lower Manhattan. Nine days before Sept. 11, 2001, Simmons and his family moved out of the apartment to a house in Saddle River, N.J., and his apartment was destroyed during the terrorist attack. Now, after more than a year of renovations, his four-bedroom penthouse is complete, as the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site just steps away gains steam. Simmons' 8,000-square-foot unit has 3,000 square feet of outdoor space, a yoga room and large art collection.
