Metro Theater

The landmark Metro Theater is up for sale or sublease by local real estate investor John Souto, who holds a 49-year lease of the building with the option of buying it this year. The art deco movie theater, on Broadway between 99th and 100th streets, has its marquee and facade preserved by its landmark status. About 10,000 square feet of retail space are planned to be built on the first and second floors, with almost 5,000 square feet in the basement.
