A $140,000-per-month rental listing hit the market today at 100 East 50th Street, according to Streeteasy.com, likely ranking as the most expensive rental unit available in Manhattan.

Brown Harris Stevens agent Margaret Bay has the listing.

The six-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom unit in the Waldorf Towers at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel is dubbed the "Cole Porter Apartment," in honor of its famed former resident. Porter, who penned "Kiss Me Kate" and "Anything Goes," lived in the unit from 1934 to 1964, according to the apartment's listing page.

The fully-furnished, approximately 6,000-square-foot unit includes a marble entry gallery, wine refrigerator and oversized bathtubs.

The unit is available for short- or long-term lease.

But the "Cole Porter Apartment" isn't Manhattan's only six-digit rental available, according to Streeteasy.com. The borough's second most expensive rental, a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom top-floor unit, also in the Waldorf Towers, is listed for $130,000 per month, while a $120,000 unit is on the market at 230 West 56th Street.
