Landmark status may disrupt condo plans

The Landmarks Preservation Commission has designated the Austin, Nichols & Co. Warehouse at 184 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg a landmark. The designation may interrupt developer Louis Kestenbaum’s plans to turn the 90-year-old, six-story building into 240 luxury condos by 2008. Among Kestenbaum’s plans for the warehouse are four new floors and a new open-air courtyard. more [NYO]
