Office landlords charging for what isn’t there

Some Midtown office landlords are claiming that their buildings are larger than they were only a few years ago, even though there have been no physical changes to the buildings, a new study says. The study examined 50 randomly selected Midtown buildings, and found that, in some, landlords were claiming phony enlargements that enabled them to, in turn, charge higher rents. more [Crain’s]
