Competition on for South Bronx building

The city Department of Housing Preservation and Development and the New York chapter of the American Institute of Architects announced on Sunday a competition to pick an architect and a developer to build a residential complex on vacant city-owned land in the South Bronx. The competition’s intended to produce a building innovative in its design, friendly to the environment, financially viable, and replicable by others. more [NYT]
