Nightclubs: We’re not “bad neighbors”

December 29, 2006 12:00AM

A group of nightclub owners has released a set of recommendations aimed at countering the perception that many Manhattan nightclubs are dangerous blights on their communities. The recommendations include increased police presence outside of clubs. The president of the group, David Rabin, who own the Meatpacking District’s Lotus, said, “None of us want to be seen as bad neighbors – I think most of the problem that communities have with nightlife doesn’t have to do with what goes on inside nightlife, it has to do with the quality of life issues surrounding us.” more [AP via AMNY]
