Spitzer on real estate reforms

In his first annual address to the Legislature today, Gov. Eliot Spitzer outlined several real estate-related reforms that his administration intends to pursue. The initiatives he spoke about included expanding Upstate’s Stewart Airport so that it is one of the tri-state area’s leading airports; reforming Wick’s Law, which requires that cities divide large construction jobs into multiple contracts; extending the ESDC’s reach; cutting property taxes; and increasing the state’s stock of affordable housing. more [NYO]
