Despite the blitzkrieg of media attention paid to the pending sale of the massive Brooklyn Mitchell-Lama property Starrett City — in which politicians and activists decried the city’s ever-increasing loss of affordable housing — in December and January, 1,042 apartments were taken out of the Mitchell-Lama program.
