Flushing enjoys developing boom

Flushing is getting a major facelift as its development boom shows no signs of letting up. These days the downtown area, crowded with all types of businesses that go up to the third floor of many buildings, can become as packed as Times Square. Sky View Park, a six-tower, 3.3-million-square foot complex with ground-level retail and a 4.5–acre private park, is one major catalyst. That, along with a new Mets baseball stadium, has some Flushing residents complaining about overdeveloped.
