Lehman Brothers looks for buyer

Lehman Brothers is approaching financial institutions about a possible acquisition of the company, or investments. Bank of America, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and Barclays PLC have been mentioned this week as potential buyers. Lehman’s leader, Richard Fuld, is also reportedly stepping up talks with private equity firms, including Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Bain Capital, to acquire its investment management division. Shares fell $2.62 to $4.63 today, down more than 93 percent from its 52-week high of $67.73.
