Break into homes with Open House NY

The sixth annual Open House New York (sponsored by city organizations and arts and cultural groups) lets you break into historic buildings this weekend with two days of walking tours, lectures and open houses around the five boroughs, including entree to private residences. Some of the participating buildings include architect Annabelle Selldorf’s 520 West Chelsea and Shigeru Ban’s first New York condo, the Metal Shutter Houses at 524 West 19th Street. A Hamilton Heights neighborhood tour includes a trip to the Hispanic Society of America and Trinity Cemetery; and the Mount Morris Park architecture tour looks at 19th and 20th century townhouses on West 126th Street.
