Trump paid $1.6M for canceled show

Australian promoter Malcolm Quinn booked Donald Trump for a series of talks titled “Think Like a Billionaire,” but was unable to get ticket sales off the ground. With the seminars canceled, Trump received payment of $1.6 million and is owed an additional $1 million, while he is no longer obliged to do anything. Meanwhile, the angry purchasers of the 650 tickets that did sell want their money back from Quinn, for a total of $1.5 million. While tickets for Trump’s discussions in the U.S. are typically around $99, Quinn was charging $850 to $1,200.
