LIC condo rising with a twist

November 11, 2008 01:21PM

A
new condominium with a twist is going up in Long Island City. The
Prism, on Borden Avenue between Fifth and Vernon streets, will have a
gap in the middle of it, giving the illusion of a twist,
and it will be filled with a 24-hour light display with one color for
every hour. The condo, near the residential building One Hunters Point,
will also reportedly have a water feature with a bridge to the lobby.
Gilman Architects is designing the 125-foot tall condo, which will have
81 units.
