The
city is planning to buy the site of the demolished Bay Ridge United Methodist Church, at the corner of Fourth and Ovington avenues, and plans to build a school on the site. According to a
spokesperson for City Council member Vincent Gentile, the school could
hold between 600 and 700 students. The city’s School Construction
Authority still has to submit plans for the school for public review, a
process that is slated to begin in January.
