Sept. 11 memorial takes shape

The National September 11 Memorial and Museum reflecting pools are taking shape at the World Trade Center. Much of the steel for the memorial’s north pool was installed by the end of December, according to a Port Authority press release. This month, the World Trade Center ramp was removed, allowing for the steel installation for the Memorial to continue, which was going on over the past two weeks.  The Port Authority released a video (below) about the progress at the World Trade Center site, which talks about the memorial, removing the ramp and putting a fence around the site with renderings of the new World Trade Center.
