FiDi offers rental alternative

NY1’s Tara Lynn Wagner talks to Financial District residential brokers who said the area offers renters and buyers a less expensive alternative to Chelsea and Soho, especially for units with a modern design. One 1,800-square-foot loft is on the market in the Financial District for less than $1,000 per square foot, for example. Inventory is high because office building conversions have flooded the market, so renters are benefiting from landlords and developers who are providing free rent and payment of brokerage fees to move units.
