Openings and closings: Beri hopes to open in a week, Ace New York not opening tomorrow

Atria, a restaurant at 13-15 West 54th Street, is closed, according to an e-mail announcement from the restaurant’s general manager. Crisp was slated to open its new location on 40th Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenues today. In Brooklyn, clothing and accessories retailer Beri Outlet, sister store to Redberi in Prospect Heights and Blueberi in Dumbo, hopes to open within a week at the corner of Prospect Place and Classon Avenue in Crown Heights. Karaoke bar Sing Sing is hoping to open a West Village spinoff, Karaoke Boho, at 181 West 4th Street, this summer. Chocolate Bar has reopened at 19 Eighth Avenue, near Jane Street. Province Chinese Canteen, which closed last year, will reopen on 53rd Street between Second and Third avenues as Mantou Chinese Sandwiches. The Gap x Havaianas Urban Beach Pop-Up Shop opened today next to the Fifth Avenue flagship store. In the Hamptons, Scandinavian hotel group C/o has renovated the Maidstone Arms Hotel in East Hampton and will reopen it as C/o the Maidstone on May 19.

Empanada Joe’s, on Sixth Avenue between 20th and 21st streets, is out of business. Valley, a Lower East Side boutique and beauty parlor, at 48 Orchard Street, is relocating to Nolita, though the store has not yet revealed its new address. The Ace New York hotel will not be opening tomorrow as planned, and the hotel is holding off on announcing a new opening date. Jones Apparel Group yesterday said it plans to close 225 stores to cut costs. TRD
