Biggest price cut of the day

The unit to see the biggest price cut today is a four-bedroom, three-bath penthouse loft at 500 Greenwich Street, according to Streeteasy.com. The price of the 5,400-square-foot home, unit number 601, was cut by $700,000 to $7.4 million. This is the loft’s first price cut and it is now listed for 6 percent less than the $8 million asking price when it first went on the market in July 2008. The original price of the loft, which has a private rooftop solarium and a media lounge, was increased by 2 percent after five days on the market in 2008.  Prudential Douglas Elliman’s Andrew Anderson, Christie Morrongiello, and Matthew Gulker have the listing.
