Proposals requested for Brooklyn Navy Yard

The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation is now accepting proposals to develop a supermarket and retail site on the western edge of the Yard, according to a press release from the corporation. The site will include a supermarket of at least 40,000 square feet and another 20,000 square feet for neighborhood retail. The upper floors of any development on the site could also include commercial or light industrial space, according to the release. Responses to the request for proposals are due by October 19. TRD
