Manhattan borough president approves hotel and residential tower
Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer announced today his support for a proposed 85-story hotel and residential skyscraper at 53 West 53rd Street. His approval comes on the heels of developer Hines Interests’ assurances that it will limit the number of dwelling units to no more than 300 and the number of hotel rooms to no more than 167. If this Jean Nouvel-designed, 1,250-foot tower is approved by the city, it will be one of the tallest structures in the city. TRD
