NY hotel mogul snaps up Montauk restaurant

Hotelier Sean MacPherson, of Bowery Hotel, Jane Ballroom and Waverly Inn fame, has purchased the Crow’s Nest restaurant near the Montauk lighthouse and is planning to revamp the place in time for next season. MacPherson had been in talks to buy the 3.35-acre property, which includes the 170-seat restaurant, a 14-room inn and a cottage overlooking the water, for about a decade and has been working on a menu with staffers for six months. “We will run it as is this season and reopen it as the new, improved Crow’s Nest next season,” he said.
