Larry Gluck’s Stellar Management has purchased the 374-unit Windermere Hotel at 666 West End Avenue for $68 million, according to the Post. The 23-story building currently contains both market-rate and stabilized hotel rooms and apartments, but Gluck said yesterday’s closing — with more than $50 million in financing from a group led by Signature Bank — marked the end of transient guests at the property. His company will be putting $10 million worth of renovations into the building, including wireless Internet, a gym, lounge and roof deck designed by nARCHITECTS and RSVP Architecture Studio. He may also change the address from its current unlucky “666.” [Post]
