Fudging details at NYC apartment listings

Real estate listing bait-and-switch is a growing problem for New York City buyers, according to New York Magazine, which listed what brokers say are the most common misrepresentations in apartment advertisements. The biggest problem, some experts say, is fudging on the number of bedrooms in an apartment, with some alleged bedrooms looking more like walk-in closets. Other problems include phony square footage statistics, vague building policies and quality of life concerns. [NYMag]
