DOB to issue violations after scaffolding collapses on Harlem bus

The Department of Buildings will issue seven violations in response to an incident at 125th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard in Harlem yesterday morning where scaffolding fell on a city bus, injuring 18 people.

According to DNAinfo, DOB is expected to issue six violations to Queens-based Disano Demolition, the contractor hired to carry out work on a building at 301 West 125th Street, and one to the owner of the building.

“They found equipment that should not have been on the site and the demolition was not done correctly,” said council member Inez Dickens.

Neither Disano nor the building owner was immediately available for comment. HH Building Construction, the company that installed the scaffolding, was also unreachable. [DNAinfo]
