Long Island condominium the Yard is now 51 percent sold, according to Modern Spaces, which has been marketing the apartments at the 12-story building since sales launched in February.

“The Yard has been selling steadily since before we broke ground. We have been very fortunate with the building’s success and buyers appreciate the design and high-end finishes the Yard has to offer,” said Eric Benaim, CEO and president of Modern Spaces. “The building clearly hit a note with buyers and we hope to continue to welcome new residents to this exciting and dynamic neighborhood.”

The Karl Fischer-designed building by developer Chess Builders overlooks the East River and the Manhattan skyline, and is comprised of 83 studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments. Residences range from 434 square feet to 1,115 square feet with asking prices starting at around $300,000, Modern Spaces said. Most units also have their own private balcony or terrace. As The Real Deal previously reported, closings at the building began in July and move-ins commenced in August. — Katherine Clarke
