Non-profit inks a lease for Fashion District office

The New York City Housing Partnership Development Corporation has signed a 10-year lease at 242 West 36th Street.

The non-profit will take 6,700 feet of office space in the Fashion District tower, a spokesperson for the landlord, the Kaufman Organization, said. The asking rent was $33 per square foot.

The affordable housing group, which helps facilitate “workforce housing” across the five boroughs, moved only about three blocks uptown from its last office at 450 Seventh Avenue, between 34th and 35th streets.

Grant Greenspan, a principal with the Kaufman Organization, represented the tenant in the transaction. Kaufman’s Director of Leasing Barbara Raskob and colleague Michael Heaner, a partner with the company, represented the landlord. — Guelda Voien
