Halstead expands Brooklyn presence

Halstead Property has purchased two smaller firms in Cobble Hill and Park Slope, where it is expanding its Brooklyn business, according to a statement from the company today.

With the purchase of Cobble Heights Realty and Heights Berkeley Realty, Halstead now has five storefront offices in the borough, bringing the total number of Halstead’s tri-state offices to 23.

The new outposts “secure us two wonderful locations,” said Trish Martin, director of sales for Halstead in Brooklyn, adding that Halstead has quickly outgrown its other Cobble Hill location, at 162 Court Street.

The new offices will be located at 76 Seventh Avenue, at Berkeley Place, in Park Slope, and at 206 Court Street, between Wyckoff and Warren streets.

“Halstead has experienced tremendous growth in the last few years and we are committed to growing the firm in a smart and strategic way. These two boutique firms are the perfect addition to our [brand],” said Diane Ramirez, president of Halstead Property.

Jeri Griffin, Matthew Miller, Rod Murray, owners of the brokerages, which are sister companies, will join the Halstead team along with all of the brokers at both firms. The founders will be joining as associate brokers and senior vice presidents, the statement said.

The expansion brings Halstead’s total number of brokers in Brooklyn to 70, as they absorb 15 additional brokers from the newly acquired offices, according to Martin.

The founders of the firms that were acquired were not immediately available for comment.
