Fugitive software tycoon’s former Park Imperial units hits rental market

A Park Imperial apartment that formerly belonged to fugitive software tycoon Jacob “Kobi” Alexander has hit the rental market for $100,000 per month, Curbed reported. The 8,000-square-foot unit is on the building’s 64th floor and has six bedrooms and 6.5 baths.

Prudential Douglas Elliman has been marketing the property since it went on the market in 2010, according to Streeteasy.com. The original asking price was $120,000 per month. The unit was rented last summer for $85,000 per month.

Alexander is allegedly on the run in Namibia. He sold a total of three units at the Park Imperial in 2010 for $35.2 million to satisfy a settlement that ordered Alexander to hand over millions of dollars after a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation found he backdated stocks for his company, called Comverse.
