New renderings are out for the 15-story building planned at 81 Fleet Place in Downtown Brooklyn, indicating that the off-again-on-again project is on its feet again, according to Brownstoner.

In 2007, billionaire John Catsimatidis planned four mixed-use buildings along Myrtle Avenue between Ashland Place and Flatbush Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn. Then the economy tanked, forcing the plans to be shelved. Since then only one of the buildings has come to fruition: the nine-story, 94-unit Andrea, located at 218 Myrtle Avenue.

Catsimatidis filed plans for 81 Fleet Place with the Department of Buildings this summer. The structure will feature 160,000 square feet of residential space with 205 units and 13,000 square feet of commercial space designed by Dattner Architects. [Brownstoner] – Christopher Cameron
