Matt Lauer’s long-planned horse farm on a preserve in Water Mill, Long Island, is finally coming to fruition. The “Today” host just closed on the 30-acre farm for $3 million, the New York Post reported.

Lauer is now prepping to build an indoor riding facility, a new barn and a small nursery on the property. Local residents had objected to Lauer’s proposal, citing the size of the farm, previous reports show, but the Southampton Town Planning Board gave it the go-ahead this summer. Lauer lives in nearby Sag Harbor, an incorporated village of Southampton, reports show.
