The Real Deal’s iPad app is here. In honor of the occasion, we’re making the just-published January issue available free of charge. “Inside,” there’s a run-down of 2012’s record-breaking deals, a feature on the real estate players who are big philanthropic donors, a story about how landlords hard-hit by Hurricane Sandy are rethinking their insurance coverage, a profile of WeWork founder Adam Neumann on the heels of his mega-deal at the Woolworth Building and much more. The new app gives users the experience of reading the magazine, with lots of interactive and social features. It’s easy to navigate on either the iPad or the iPad mini, and enables readers to access past issues, play videos and share The Real Deal content on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and other social media platforms. Downloading the app is easy, and it’s free. Just head to Apple’s app store and search for “The Real Deal.” Or if you’re reading this from your iPad, click here. —TRD
