Willis Group CEO lists UES home for $32M

Joseph Plumeri of Willis Group Holdings has listed his 8,360-square-foot Fifth Avenue cond-op in the old Stanhope Hotel for $32 million, according to Curbed.

As The Real Deal previously reported, Plumeri bought the eight-bedroom, 15th floor home for $20.5 million in 2010. Shortly after the sale, though, the chief executive Plumeri sued the building’s developer, Extell, claiming $3 million worth of defects hadn’t been disclosed before the closing.

The apartment,  at 995 Fifth Avenue, has a 42-foot-long living room, a paneled library, a study with a wood-burning fireplace, a bar and views of Central Park. [Curbed] —Christopher Cameron
