Computer security giant Symantec Corporation has taken 24,100 square feet at Vornado Realty Trust’s One Penn Plaza in the Penn Plaza complex, the New York Observer reported.

Symantec may consolidate its current offices at 380 Madison Avenue and 2 Wall Street into the new space at the 57-story, 2.6 million-square-foot tower, sources told the Observer. Part of the appeal of the building was its central location and access to transportation, they added. Asking rents were not disclosed.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Rob Lowe and David Berke represented Symantec in the deal, while Vornado’s Craig Panzirer represented the landlord in-house. The brokers did not immediately respond to the Observer’s requests for comment.

One Penn Plaza also just signed a 10-year, 19,100-square-foot deal healthcare provider ValueOptions, according to the Observer. [NYO]Hiten Samtani
