The developer that spent $30.6 million on a warehouse and two vacant lots from the Jehovah’s Witnesses wants to build both a 15-unit condominium building and a 105-unit rental building there.
Urban Realty Partners have requested permission from the Landmarks Preservation Commission to expand the rooftop and backyard of the warehouse, as well as change its façade. The developer filed for a zoning review last month that was rejected.
The three contiguous parcels are located at 173 and 177 Front StreetAnd 200 Water Street. The space totals 30,463 square feet and can accommodate nearly 150,000 square feet of development, as previously reported.
The plan for 177 Front Street is to build a 12-story building with ground-floor commercial space. Aufgang + Subotovsky Architecture and Planning would design both projects. [Brownstoner] — Mark Maurer
