Toll scion kicks off leasing at Steelworks Lofts

The Steelworks Lofts rental conversion, developed by Jacob Toll, son of Toll Brothers chairman Robert Toll, has launched leasing, according to signs posted at the Williamsburg building.

Thor High Street Advisors is heading up leasing at the 83-unit, 130,000-square-foot building at 76 North 4th Street, named after the former Lewis Steel Products factory. Rental prices are unknown.

AvroKO, a Manhattan-based architectural firm that specializes in restaurants, designed the interiors, while Gene Kaufman Architects is pitching in a glass and metal panel on the façade, Brownstoner reported.

Construction began last year, according to Brownstoner.

Toll and developer Cayuga Capital Management together acquired the note and deed in 2010 from Fifth Square Partners, which bought it for $26.5 million three years earlier.
