AvroKO, a Manhattan-based architectural firm that specializes in restaurants, designed the interiors, while Gene Kaufman Architects is pitching in a glass and metal panel on the façade, Brownstoner reported.

Construction began last year, according to Brownstoner.

Toll and developer Cayuga Capital Management together acquired the note and deed in 2010 from Fifth Square Partners, which bought it for $26.5 million three years earlier. Fifth Square had sought to turn the factory site into an 88-unit condominium, before running into trouble during the recession, as previously reported. [Brownstoner]Mark Maurer
