The spot at 25 Great Jones Street, owned by the Richport Group and SDS Brooklyn, will be designed by BKSK Architects. The new structure will redistribute three stories and be only 11 stories, compared to the current 14. The facade will be composed of glass and an alloyed steel, While The Lafayette Street side will be covered with a mural by artist Jose Parla.

Aside from concerns about the steel’s durability, Landmarks took no issue with the plans and approved them unanimously. [Curbed]Julie Strickland
