UPDATED, 11:30 a.m., Nov. 20: Thurstan Bannister, son of the first person to ever run a less-than-four-minute mile, sold his co-op at the Kenilworth, at 151 Central Park West, for $12.5 million. The 2,942-square-foot unit has seven bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Thurstan’s father, Roger Bannister, broke the record for the fastest human mile on record at the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki.

Philanthropist Arthur Koenig bought the apartment at the 12-story building between 75th and 76th streets. Fox Residential brokers Stephanie Kanner and Barbara Fox had the listing for the pad, which first hit the market in May, according to the New York Observer.
