 With so many European castles on the market turning heads, it is easy to forget that there are more than a few domestic fortresses with unbeatable asking prices currently on the market. Here is a look around the United States at homes fit for a king:

Johnson City, TN

This replica of an 18th-century Spanish castle sits on a stately 13 acres in Johnson City, TN. And for a mere $4.3 million this nine-bedroom, 14-bathroom domicile can be yours, according to ABC News.

“You are greeted by a guard shack and the property is completely fenced. This home features 22 foot tall entry doors imported from Paris,” according to the listing.

Austin, TX

Asking $9,95 million, this castle-esque mansion in Austin features seven bedrooms on four acres of land.

“Images of European stately castles come to mind as you pull into the patterned brick circular driveway and get your first glimpse of the solid copper domes, faceted towers and the finest, most expensive clay flat tile roof in the world manufactured by Ludowici,” according to the listing.

Sandpoint, ID

It may be in Idaho, but this 4,200-square-foot American castle is on the market for just $825,000.

Woodley , WA

A private bridge leads over a creek to this modest three-bedroom castle, currently on the market for $895,000. The structure was built in 1997 and sits on 20 acres of lush landscape. [ABC News]Christopher Cameron
