10-story building headed to East Village

UPDATED, 2:44 p.m., Dec. 2: A 10-story, 14-unit mixed-use building is headed to a vacant lot in the East Village.

The Department of Buildings approved plans for a building at the corner of East Houston Street and Suffolk Street slated to hold 11,522 square feet of residential space and 2,527 square feet of community facility space, the blog EVGrieve reported. Whether the residential component will be rentals or condominiums is unknown.
