Full-floor 778 Park unit trades for $18M

 In March, a full-floor apartment at the Rosario Candela-designed 778 Park Avenue hit the market for the first time in nearly 70 years, asking $22.5 million. Now the estate of the late philanthropist Celeste Bartos has sold the apartment for just $18 million.

The buyers of the 10-room apartment are Joseph and Hilary Feshbach. Joseph was the first vice president of Prudential Bache Securities — now Wachovia — and Hilary worked as vice president of advertising at the Roseland Ballroom, according to the New York Observer.

As The Real Deal previously reported, the apartment, which is located at East 73rd Street on a stretch that is dubbed “Candela Alley,” was listed with Sotheby’s International Realty’s Roger Erickson. [NYO] –Christopher Cameron
