Brazilian oil executive Paolo Gouveas’ refurbished Upper West Side townhouse has sold for $16.5 million, down from the original $20 million ask when it hit the market in the summer of 2012, according to a statement from BLU.

The six-story, 9,700-square-foot home is located at 41 West 74th Street and was listed with BLU Realty Group’s Vince Rocco in July of last year. Previously, top Sotheby’s broker Roger Erickson had the listing.

The broker switch marked the second such snag for boutique brokerage BLU, which also picked up the listing for an Upper East Side home at 170 East 80th Street from Brown Harris Stevens’ Paula Del Nunzio in 2012.

The five-bedroom, twelve-room home boasts a garden, courtyard, elevator, roof deck, gym, hot tub, two full-grade chef’s kitchens and a wine cellar, according to the listing.
