Residents of a nine-story loft building at Aby Rosen’s 67 Vestry Street in Tribeca launched an online petition to seek landmark protection in the hopes of halting a redevelopment project.

The petition, which local nonprofit Tribeca Trust helped initiate, has received more than 300 signatures in four days. Rosen, head of RFR Realty, intends to raze the building and build an 11-story, 134-foot-tall property holding 42 residential units – either rentals or condominiums. SLCE Architects was hired to design it.
