An Upper East Side Italianate brownstone loaded up with pricey furnishings has hit the market for $27 million, nearly double what it last sold for in 2010, according to property records.

Tal and Oren Alexander of Douglas Elliman have the listing for 132 East 62nd Street, between Park and Lexington avenues, according to StreetEasy.

The five-story Lenox Hill townhouse underwent a three-year renovation at the hands of of Suzanne Sheik, a jewelry designer and the mother of singer-songwriter Duncan Sheik, according to previous reports. She sold it for $14 million in 2010, less than her $17.5 million asking price, as previously reported.

The five-bedroom, 5,129-square-foot home, the priciest to hit the market last week, has all the typical luxury townhouse trappings — two wood-burning fireplaces, an elevator, a landscaped garden with a “water-wall,” marble floors and high ceilings, according to the listing.

But with all that comes with artwork by Andy Warhol, Anish Kapoor, Roy Lichtenstein and even Frank Sinatra, in the form of an abstract oil painting. Moving on to the library, interested buyers will find signed books by the likes of William Faulkner and Truman Capote. The icing on the cake? A Baccarat crystal-encrusted chandelier and a gold-plated couch. [Curbed]Angela Hunt
