Aaron Fleischman, a well-known collector of modern art, has just picked up a prize that might help him accommodate his collection.

The man with the eye for art purchased a duplex at River House from the estate of Betty Barton Evans, the wife of the late financier Thomas Mellon Evans. The cost of securing the sizable spot at Storied 435 East 52nd Street was $14.5 million.

The sale comes in at $11 million below the asking price in February, reports the New York Observer. Caroline Guthrie held the listing at Brown Harris Stevens.

For his millions, Fleischman gets private elevator access, a master suite with a sitting room and wood-burning fireplace and a wine room. He’ll also have Uma Thurman as a neighbor. The actress bought a 13-room co-op at River House for $10 million last year. [NYO] — Tom DiChristopher
